Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI)

Position Summary
The Teacher of the Visually Impaired provides specialized instruction (Special Instruction -Vision) and family coaching to infants and toddlers (Birth to age 3) with visual impairments. Services focus on enhancing visual functioning, supporting overall development, and empowering families to embed vision strategies into daily routines in natural environments
Qualifications
Required:
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in the field of early intervention, early childhood special education, early childhood education, child development, special education, education of the blind/visually impaired or related field.
· Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification
· 1 year of full-time experience or full-time-equivalent experience working with infants and toddlers with disabilities and their families or a university-supervised practicum or teaching experience with young children with disabilities.
Preferred:
· Additional Certification in Orientation and Mobility
Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (TDHH)

The Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing provides specialized instruction (SI – Hearing) and family coaching to infants and toddlers (birth to age 3) with hearing differences. Services focus on promoting communication, language development, and auditory learning within the child’s natural environments.
Qualifications
Required:
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in the field of early intervention, early childhood special education, early childhood education, child development, special education, deaf education, or related field.
· Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing certification
· 1 year of full-time experience or full-time-equivalent experience working with infants and toddlers with disabilities and their families or a university-supervised practicum or teaching experience with young children with disabilities.
Preferred Qualifications for all disciplines:
Early Intervention experience
Home Based Service Delivery Experience
