Therapeutic services, which may include occupational, speech, physical, vision, hearing and/or behavior consultation, are provided to children from birth to five years of age and are as specified by the individual IFSP or IEP based upon the outcomes and strategies that are designed for each child.
Appropriate therapeutic services are determined at the child's IEP or IFSP meeting. Therapies are provided by professionals and are presented in the natural environment (home and community). Therapies are individualized to meet children's needs and are provided either through the integrated classroom model (3 - 5) or individually, as driven by the IEP/IFSP. Goals and objectives are continually reviewed and adjusted as necessary, with the primary focus on developing the functional skills that can be incorporated into the family's and/or classroom's routine activities.
